Local public transportation is known as 'Dalla Dalla' (minibus) and they leave Stone Town from Darajani Market. The minibus that takes you to Makunduchi is No. 310. The fare is around 2000 TSH (US$1,50) per person. Tell the conductor to drop you off at La Madrugada Hotel. It is the last stop in Makunduchi.
The nearest medical facility is the Makunduchi hospital and it is located 2 km from the hotel.

Dar es Salaam, the economic capital of Tanzania, is located 60 km southwest of the hotel. You can travel to Dar es Salaam via a small airplane, ferry or boat.
